Welcome to the Premier of NSW's Export Awards

The Premier's NSW Export Awards is an annual program which aims to recognise excellence in the export of goods and service by NSW business. The Awards acknowledge the important contribution of businesses to the economy through job creation and increased prosperity for the community and for the state.

The Premier’s NSW Export Awards are managed by the Australian Institute of Export and supported by many sponsors, in particular the Department of Industry & Investment (NSW), whose assistance makes these awards possible.

Outstanding NSW companies such as The Wiggles, Taronga Zoo, ResMed, Byron Bay Cookie Company, Bellata Gold and aussieBum have all been recognised for their outstanding export success.

Winners of the 2009 Premier’s NSW Export Awards Announced

Winners were announced on 28 October 2009, where NSW companies were recognised for playing an important role in boosting the State and Australia’s economy at the Premier of New South Wales Export Awards presentation gala. In the 2008/09 financial year, the 12 companies awarded, generated export earnings worth over $1 billion and employed more than 4,992 Australians.

Having won in the Premier’s NSW Export Awards, these companies progressed to the  Australian Export Awards and competed against 65 National Finalists from other States and Territories.

On 20 November 2009, at the 47th Australian Export Awards National Awards Ceremony held in Canberra at Parliament House, three NSW companies were awarded. SMARTS Group won in the Information, Communication and Technology Award category, Servcorp the Large Services Award and aussieBum won in the Small to Medium Manufacturer award category.
