|
The Premier of Queensland's Export Awards program is the State's leading business event.
The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards acknowledge the important role Queensland exporters play in boosting the State and Australia’s economy and in 2010 the program will celebrate its 21st anniversary.
Trade Queensland independently manages this program in collaboration with the Australian Export Awards national program and encourage small and large, regional and metropolitan businesses to apply.
As an award winner, you can:
- raise your company profile;
- improve your business credibility;
- increase your access to new markets;
- enhance your existing business relationships; and
- boost company and staff morale.
Entering at the State level is your only path to the Australian Export Awards. The winners of the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards progress as automatic finalists in the national program and can be eligible for the Prime Minister’s Australian Exporter of the Year Award.
Applications opened on Tuesday, 13 April and close Friday, 23 July. The winners and finalists of the 2010 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards will be announced at a gala presentation dinner on Thursday 21 October.
The 12 companies named winners of the 2009 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards generated export earnings of over $1.6 billion and employed over 6,500 people in the 2008/09 financial year.
Queensland companies were well recognised at the 2009 Australian Export Awards. Four Queensland companies were honoured at the national award ceremony in Canberra.
Russell Mineral Equipment was inducted to the Hall of Fame, Capilano Honey won the Agribusiness Award category, Wesfarmers Curragh won the Minerals and Energy Award, and NOJA Power Swtichgear won the Large Advanced Manufacturer Award and the overall Prime Minister's Australian Exporter of the Year.
