Premier of Queensland's Export Awards
|
|
The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards program is the State’s leading business event. In 2009, the Awards celebrated their 20th anniversary.

Trade Queensland independently manage this program in collaboration with the Australian Export Awards national program and encourage businesses to apply – you too could be eligible for the Prime Minister’s Australian Exporter of the Year Award. Entering at the State level is your only path to the Australian Export Awards.
The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards acknowledge the important contribution that businesses make. On 21 October 2009, Queensland companies were recognised for playing an important role in boosting the State and Australia’s economy as winners were announced.
In the 2008/09 financial year, the 12 companies awarded generated export earnings of over $1.6 billion and employed over 6,500 people.
Having won at the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards, these companies automatically progressed as national finalists to the Australian Export Awards and competed against 65 National Finalists from other States and Territories.
On 20 November 2009, at the 47th Australian Export Awards National Awards Ceremony in Canberra, three Queensland companies were honoured. Capilano Honey won the Agribusiness Award category, Wesfarmers Curragh won the Minerals and Energy Award and NOJA Power Swtichgear won the Large Advanced Manufacturer Award and the overall Prime Minister's Australian Exporter of the Year.
