The Tasmanian Export Awards recognise excellence in exporting by Tasmanian enterprises and are acknowledged as one of Tasmania’s prestigious industry awards. The Awards acknowledge the important contribution that Tasmanian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community. The Tasmanian Export Awards program plays a key role in the development and enhancement of export culture in Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Department of Economic Development and Tourism, supported by its sponsors, are responsible for managing these awards and strongly encourages you to consider nominating for these influential awards.
Winners of the 2009 Tasmanian Export Awards announced.
On 16 October 2009, Tasmanian companies were recognised for playing an important role in boosting the State and Australia's economy at the Tasmanian Export Awards presentation dinner. In the 2008/09 financial year, these 8 award winning enterprises generated export earnings worth over $22 million and employed more than 370 people in Tasmania.
Having won their category in the Tasmanian Export Awards, these companies progressed to the Australian Export Awards and competed against 69 National Finalists from other States and Territories.
On 20 November 2009, at the 47th Australian Export Awards National Presentation dinner, two companies were honoured with National Awards. Autech Software & Design won in the Regional Exporter Award category and Pivot Maritime International won in the Small to Medium Services Award category.
Previous winners from Tasmania include Ta Ann Tasmania who won the Emerging Exporter Award category in 2008.
