The Western Australian Export Awards are the State's most prestigious business awards. They acknowledge the innovation, hard work and success of businesses, large and small, in reaching new markets. The Awards acknowledge the important contribution that Western Australian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.

The Department of Commerce, as the Government agency responsible for managing these awards, strongly encourages you to consider nominating for these influential awards. Winners of the Western Australian Export Awards automatically progress as national finalists to the 2009 Australian Export Awards.

On 2 October 2009, Western Australian companies were recognised for playing an important role in boosting the State and Australia’s economy at the Western Australian Industry and Export Awards presentation dinner.

In the 2008/09 financial year, the 8 outstanding companies awarded, generated export earnings worth over $5.9 billion and employed more than 6,700 people in Western Australia. These winners of the Western Australian Export Awards automatically progressed to the Australian Export Awards and competed against 67 National Finalists from other States and Territories.

Previous national award winners from Western Australia include the Craig Mostyn Group who won the Agribusiness Award in 2008 and Divex Asia Pacific Pty Ltd who won the Small to Medium Manufacturer Award in the same year.
