Matrix Composites & Engineering Ltd (MC&E) is a leading Australian manufacturer of critical engineered products for the offshore, subsea, mining and defence industries.

The company specialises in the design, application and manufacturing of products based on advanced composite materials, engineering plastics and elastomers and designs and manufactures high performance products through its oil & gas, mineral & industrial and advanced materials businesses.

MCE&E is an Australian based company that services the international market via a global network of agents, distributors and subsidiaries and currently exports to over 30 countries.

The Company’s main export product is subsea buoyancy for deepwater exploration and production. Secondary product lines include elastomer products, clamping systems, drilling products and offshore installation products. The bulk of the turnover is generated from the international offshore drilling market and the company exports 90 per cent of the Drilling Riser Buoyancy to customers in the USA, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK and Korea.

The company has undergone a period of significant expansion in order to meet demand. A facility upgrade and relocation means MC&E’s new manufacturing complex will house one of the largest subsea buoyancy production facilities in the world and will include world class oilfield equipment servicing and manufacturing hub.
