Working with States and Territories

The Australian Export Awards is a collaborative event. Each calendar year, representatives from Austrade, the ACCI and coordinators from the eight State and Territory Export Award programs plan and implement the National Awards program.

Award categories, eligibility guidelines, judging criteria, application processes, marketing and publicity activities are reviewed annually and improved upon as appropriate.

2010 State and Territory Export Awards

Each of the eight State and Territory Export Award programs are focused on recognising and rewarding their most innovative and successful exporters.  But entering your State and Territory program is just the start of a rewarding journey for your company.

Entering at the State and Territory level is your only path to the Australian Export Awards with winners from each State and Territory programs automatically progressing to the Australian Export Awards as national finalists.

Understanding the Export Awards journey

Australian Export Awards

State and Territory winners will be announced at presentation ceremonies held across the country in September and October.

The national program, the Australian Export Awards, select winners from 12 categories - recognising the best of the best Australian exporters.  And one of these winners receives the highest accolade, selected to be the Prime Minister's Australian Exporter of the Year.

This year marks the 48th staging of the Australian Export Awards, the longest running business awards in Australia.  Winners will be announced  at a prestigious National Awards Ceremony on 17 November 2010.
