Australian Export Awards celebrate 50 years of innovation
The 2012 Australian Export Awards marked half a century of exporting success, showcasing the innovation and skills that would secure Australia's future in the Asian Century, Trade and Competitiveness Minister Craig Emerson said.
On Wednesday 27 November 2012 the Awards were presented at Parliament House, Canberra, honouring 12 outstanding exporters in agribusiness, arts and entertainment, education and training, minerals and energy, services and manufacturing.
Dr Emerson, who is Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Asian Century Policy, said Australia had come a long way since the first Export Awards in 1963.

Introducing New National Categories
The Australian Export Awards, in its 51st year is one of the longest running business awards events in Australia.
From agribusiness and manufacturing to film and television special effects and cutting-edge innovation in health and biotechnology, this year’s program spans 12 national categories, including six new or expanded areas that reflect the growth in the nation’s export capabilities.
