None, Creative Industries Award
The Full Point Films company was established in 2014 by Ché Baker. Having just returned from working on The Hobbit in New Zealand, a multi-million dollar production by international heavy-hitter Peter Jackson, Baker knew that capital of New Zealand and Australia had more in common than a claim to pavlova. After discussing how Peter was able to create a film eco-system and industry in Wellington, Ché believed Canberra was an even better candidate. These two cities were of a similar size, but Canberra's weather was far more hospitable, and it was logistically far more accommodating. Baker left the hobbits and dwarves, determined to make his own film and to establish an industry in the Canberra region.
After developing a short concept film which wowed audiences at the Lights Canberra Action film competition, Baker knew the story was worth pursuing. He established a core team of local creatives including co-Director Dallas Bland and Producer Sarah Mason. In 2015, Blue World Order commenced production, and the award-winning feature film will be released internationally in 2017.
