Needle fear keeps 59% of Australians from timely dental visits. Founded in 2017 by dentist Dr Omar Zuaiter and engineer Alaa Habeb, Dentroid is on a mission to end needle anxiety, pain and wasted chair-time in everyday dental care.

Its flagship products include a handheld, LED-powered photobiomodulation device that numbs teeth and gums using a 20-second burst of light. This largely replaces local anaesthetic injections for fillings, cleanings and crown preparations.

Dentroid recently signed agreements with international partners that should see global distribution starting in the US around 2026, Europe around 2027, and further expansion around the world into 2028 and beyond.

Its top export markets are France and Switzerland.

Green hydrogen is crucial for decarbonising industries that can’t be easily electrified. Electrolysers are a key technology in producing green hydrogen, but existing technologies have been inefficient, expensive and difficult to scale.

Hysata brings to market the most significant innovation in electrolyser technology in more than a century. Hysata’s hydrogen electrolysers achieve 95% system efficiency, surpassing incumbent electrolysers by 20%. This innovation saves producers around A$5.4 billion in renewable energy capex per million tonnes of hydrogen.

In February 2025, Hysata entered into a collaboration agreement with a large energy company in Saudi Arabia. This milestone represents Australia’s first export pathway for electrolysers to the Middle East.

Its top export market is Saudi Arabia.
