Next Level Racing brings esports from the Gold Coast to the globe

This Australian Export Awards Creative Industries winner 2022 is sure to go the distance.

Next Level Racing is hitting the export accelerator on its racing and flight simulation products.

Next Level Racing is a global market leader in premium racing and flight simulation. Its products are enjoyed by home enthusiasts, professional race car drivers and pilots in training across more than 50 countries.

‘Our products bring happiness to people around the world that love racing, cars or flying,’ says Next Level Racing Founder and CEO Hessam Ghahramanian.

’Our active global simulation community gives our users the opportunity to not only compete, but also connect with people around the world. Virtual sports and esports have no geographical barriers.’

From the Gold Coast to the globe

Next Level Racing products are created in Australia. But partnerships with motorsports, aviation and esports companies have led to a thriving global customer base.

‘Watching our teams design and launch products that are enjoyed globally from here on the Gold Coast is something quite special,’ says Ghahramanian.

Next Level Racing products are stocked and sold at hundreds of major retailers around the world. In 2021–22, the company saw expansion into new markets like South America. Business also grew significantly in major markets including Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Product diversification sees expansion into new markets

New products are driving sales momentum and growth in new export markets.

‘Our products range from US$99 to US$5,999 and serve a diverse customer base with highly varied incomes and budgets,’ says Ghahramanian.

Mexico and Africa are Next Level Racing’s next major expansion targets.

Expanding horizons for racing and flight simulation

Next Level Racing is also expanding into the military, defence and virtual training industries, alongside its beloved retail offerings.

‘Our new “elite” category of products for professionals and esports has led to official multi-year partnerships with global esports teams,’ says Ghahramanian.

‘They rely on our products for their athletes to succeed in the highest level of competition, expanding our potential customer base and brand visibility on a global scale.’

Next Level Racing’s professional and enterprise customers have included NASA, Northrup Grumman, Royal Air Force and Bristol University, among others.

A partnership with Boeing involves co-branded commercial and military cockpits for aviation. It launches this year as part of Next Level Racing’s growth strategy.

Products that bring positive change

Next Level Racing always strives to bring positive change with its products and interactions.

The company has provided products to:

  • Premier VRacademy: a charity in Queens, New York, that helps underprivileged children in primary schools
  • VanZilla: a collaboration that sees Ford vans equipped with racing simulators, bringing experiences to underprivileged children around Europe
  • NASCAR: via an event in Charlotte, US, the company brought simulation racing to underprivileged people at a local community centre
  • Air Cadet Squadron: youth charity organisation under the UK Royal Air Force.

Going the distance with the Australian Export Awards

The growth of simulation in esports and its ability to bring people together is an area this Australian Export Awards winner is excited and passionate about, according to Ghahramanian.

‘At a time in the world where we are seeing increasing division between countries, mental health issues and financial instability, we believe esports can provide a positive avenue for many.’

Ghahramanian sees the Australian Export Awards as a great opportunity to inspire other companies, showing them Australia has what it takes to supply great technology, products and services to the world.

He says Next Level Racing looks forward to growing its exports through geographical expansion into adjacent markets and new products.

‘We have the foundation and momentum for a very exciting growth phase for the company.’
